Skinnygirl cocktails are the latest craze. You may have heard of the brand’s creator, Bethenny Frankel. She’s a reality television personality, starring in the Real Housewives of New York City, Skating with the Stars, and most recently on her own show, Bethenny Ever After. In addition to being known as a television personality, she’s also a renowned natural foods chef, mixologist, and entrepreneur.

Bethenny launched Skinnygirl cocktails in 2009 and has proven that she knows exactly what women are looking for in a cocktail. The Skinnygirl Margarita is the first in her line – offering a preservative free cocktail at just 100 calories per 4 ounce serving. By 2011, the brand had exceeded all of Frankel’s expectations – so what does an intelligent entrepreneur do next? Well, this one began negotiations with Beam Global Spirits & Wine, the premium spirits business of Fortune Brands. And on March 22, 2011, Beam Global Spirits & Wine announced they had bought the Skinnygirl spirits brand for 120 million. According to the Ratti Report, Beam Global’s President is excited about adding Frankel’s brand:
