BarNinja & Cocktail Party Tips

Cocktail Party Tips:

1) Keep the bar as far from the food as possible. This will ensure a proper flow at your event.

2) Keep your bar in or near the kitchen to make clean up and re-stocking as easy as possible.

3) To simplify things, only use two or three types of glasses. If you are having a large party, you may just want to rent white and red wine glasses.

4) Do not use shot glasses that hold more than 1 ½ ounces. Please…trust us…and the local authorities on this one!

5) Whenever possible, use lower proof liquors.

6) Have non alcoholic beverages available for the designated drivers.

7) DO NOT OVERSERVE!

8) Use clean glassware and fresh ingredients for your cocktails.

9) Whenever possible, chill your glassware.

10) If you have the budget for it, hire a professional bartender.

BarNinja Tips:

*Ninja Tip – Setting up a home bar in your kitchen can make spills easier to clean up because it puts you closer to your refrigerator and sink.

*Ninja Tip - If your bar is not in the kitchen, then use a bar mat to catch the spills. You might also want to consider getting a small fridge/freezer to hold your beer and ice.

*Ninja Tip - Keep your party flowing like you know what you’re doing! Use the basic catering rule of putting your bar on the opposite side of the room as the food. Just trust us on this one…

*Ninja Tip – If you are throwing a party at home, you can take the catering route by using only white and red wine glasses for all drinks (although you may want to have a couple martini glasses handy).

*Ninja Tip – If you’re on a tight budget and you can’t purchase lots of glassware, you can always rent glasses from your local rent-all store.

*Ninja Tip – If you’re serving hot drinks, make sure you are using the appropriate glassware (with stem/handles).

*Ninja Tip – Purchase a rabbit wine opener. It opens bottles flawlessly in half of the time. *Ninja Tip – In order to create a professional bar display, pick up fluorescent light sticks from your local hardware store, and place them behind your liquor. Also, consider building a small shelf to have two tiers for your bottles.
